Download Cinder from the download page. Open the .dmg file and drag Cinder to your Applications folder. Cinder requires macOS 14.2 or later on Apple Silicon (M1+).
Open Cinder and create an account with your email. You start on the Free plan — no credit card required. You can upgrade anytime from Settings → Billing.
Cinder needs the System Audio Recording permission to hear your calls. macOS will prompt you the first time you start a session. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → System Audio Recording and enable Cinder.
Go to Settings → Playbook Settings. Add your role context (e.g. "Account Executive, mid-market SaaS") and company context (value props, pricing, competitive positioning). This helps Cinder give relevant coaching.
Open your calling app (Zoom, Teams, Meet, or any other). Click "Start Session" on the Cinder dashboard. Cinder begins transcribing and coaching immediately. The overlay appears near the top of your screen.
Tap Ask to get a live AI answer to any question during your call. Press ⌘⇧E for Explain — breaks down what's being discussed. Press ⌘⇧B for Situation — a strategic read on where things stand. Press Escape to dismiss any card.
When the call ends, click "End Session." Cinder generates an AI summary for every plan automatically. Starter and above add a full action plan and performance score. Find these on your dashboard under the call entry.
