Cinder v1.0.56

An Apple-first transcription release that starts calls faster, shows speech sooner, and keeps local audio handling private by default.

Highlights

Immediate Apple-first transcription

Cinder now warms up Apple Speech ahead of calls and starts with the local Apple path whenever it is available, reducing the quiet gap at call start.

Lower-latency live captions

Live transcript updates and coaching context arrive sooner, with clearer status indicators when Cinder is listening, warming up, or falling back.

Fixes

Safer engine handoffs

Transcription handoffs now preserve timing, replay short in-memory audio windows in order, and avoid duplicate or missing lines during route changes.

More reliable automatic launches

Calendar starts, meeting notifications, and automatic call-end handling now share stronger startup ownership so calls do not double-start or end from stale state.

Known issues

No known issues have been published for this release.

This release makes Apple Speech the preferred local transcription engine on supported Macs while preserving cloud fallback when needed. Short audio replay windows remain in memory for handoff safety; this release does not add stored call audio or transcript text.

In Cinder, open Settings → Account and find Version to check for an update. An available update waits until an active call ends before Cinder asks to restart.
